"Vivid Colors, Imagination, and Style"
The development of Robert Ransom's unique style of painting while attending Northern Arizonza University, where he earned a Master's degree and later began exhibiting his work.
His Figurative oil paintings combine pure intense color with simple forms that tend to revolve around two or three figures whom faces seemingly display whatever emotion you choose to give them.
His use of the forced perspective drawing technique captures the essence of the subjects through sheer intensity of form. In order to give his paintings the level of boldness and depth they so vividly reveal, he applies the paint in layers and lets each layer dry before applying the next one. Robert Ransom is considered one of the great pop artists. He likes to use American Iconography in his work and he is greatly influenced by The American Dream."
Ransom's appreciation and interpretation of the west is the main theme of his work. "I consider Ransom to be the Andy Warhol of the American Pastime."
